At Mestiza, everything starts with flavour. Bold, honest, unapologetic flavour.
Founded in 2021 by Sarina Raidi, Mestiza was born from a heartfelt mission: to help people enjoy a simple yet flavourful life. Each jar is an invitation to slow down, share a meal, and connect. Without complicated recipes or compromise on quality.
Raised in a family where food was more than a meal, it was a language of love, Sarina grew up surrounded by proud home cooks from all corners of her heritage: Mexican, Venezuelan, Lebanese, Spanish, and American. Every gathering was a lesson in flavour and connection, where recipes were shared, debated, and celebrated.
Born From a Global Table
Growing up in the vibrant and flavour-rich city of Caracas, learning to cook in Mexico, refining skills more professionally in Bangkok, then moving to Tulsa and finally Brisbane, being these last two cities where BBQs are a true celebration of food. Every place has left its mark, each city, each kitchen, and each shared meal has shaped the way we see food: as a powerful, universal language that brings people together.

Mestiza’s range of Chimi, Macha, and Seasoning Salts are proudly made in Brisbane, using fresh, natural ingredients. Always healthy, free from sugars and allergens like gluten, and dairy. Every jar is crafted in small batches, ready to elevate everything from a quick weeknight dinner to a long Sunday BBQ.
