At Mestiza, everything starts with flavour — bold, honest, unapologetic flavour.

Born from a rich tapestry of family traditions and culinary curiosity, Mestiza was created by Sarina Raidi in 2021 with one heartfelt mission: to share the Latin-inspired flavours she grew up with, reimagined for modern Australian kitchens.

Raised in a family where food wasn’t just a meal but a language of love, Sarina was surrounded by proud home cooks from all corners of her heritage — Mexican, Venezuelan, Lebanese, Spanish and American. Every gathering centred around the table, where recipes were passed down, fiercely debated, and joyfully shared.

Born From a Global Table

Her travels took her from the bustling streets of Caracas to the spice-laden markets of Bangkok and the smoky BBQs of Australia’s backyard culture. Each city, each kitchen, each shared meal left its mark — shaping the way she cooks, entertains, and sees food as a unifying force.

“Mestiza was born out of a desire to bottle those flavours and moments — to help busy families, passionate foodies and curious home cooks add bold personality to their meals without cutting corners on quality or authenticity.”

Today, Mestiza’s range of Chimi, Macha and Seasoning Salts are proudly made in Brisbane using fresh, natural ingredients — always free from preservatives, gluten and dairy. Every jar is handcrafted in small batches, made to elevate everything from a quick weeknight dinner to a long Sunday BBQ.

What started as one humble jar of chimichurri in a few local butcher shops has grown into a proudly local brand, stocked in over 40 stores across Queensland and fast becoming a staple in kitchens across the country.
